pplication Requirement
Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens with a bachelor's degree, aged under 35 and in good physical and mental health.
Applicants who immigrate from the Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and have acquired foreign nationality or whose parents are both Chinese citizens and have settled abroad, and who have foreign nationality at birth, must meet the requirements of Document No. 12 [2020] of the Ministry of Education.
Applicants should be equipped with excellent academic performance, meeting the requirements of the application school and major as well.
*According to different types of applications, the application conditions are supplemented by categories, please pay attention to the same.
1. Chinese Government Scholarships
(1) The application has been approved by the institution accepting the application (dispatching departments of foreign students or embassies /consulates abroad).
(2) Applicantshave not received any scholarship from the Chinese government or any other organization.
2. Shanghai Government Scholarships
(1) Applicants should achieve excellent academic record, and have passed HSK5 or above for programs taught in Chinese and reached the language level required by the host institution for the applied program.
(2) Applicantshave not received any scholarship from the Chinese government or any other organization.
3. Self-financing
Applicants should achieve excellent academic record, and have passed HSK5 or above for programs taught in Chinese and reached the language level required by the host institution for the applied program.
Application Materials
SUIBE International Students Application Form
Please log into the online application system at http:/sis/ to fill in the application form;
Certificate of Bachelor or Higher Education Degree
①Scan copy of original documents. If documents are not in Chinese or English, a notarized and translated version in Chinese or in English is required.
②Graduating students should provide a certificate of impending graduation, and the estimated graduation time should be earlier than August 31, 2021. Graduation certificate and diploma should be submitted for the registration;
Official Academic Transcript of Bachelor or Higher Education Degree
Original or notarized copy documents. If documents are not in Chinese or English, a notarized and translated version in Chinese or in English is required.
Language Proficiency Certificate
①For Chinese-taught programs: effective (within 2 yrs) HSK certificate ( HSK-5 over 210 or HSK-6 over 180).
②For English taught program: English Language Test Certificate or official proof of taking English-taught programs.
(5) A Study or Research Plan
Words: no less than 800 words
Language: Written in Chinese for Chinese-taught programs or English for English-taught programs.
Content: Include but not limited to personal study or work experience, academic research outcome, research plan of master program, personal goal after graduation.
Two Recommendation Letters from two professors or associate professors
Written in Chinese or English. The issue date of the recommendation letter should be later than September 1st, 2020. Recommendation letter MUST include: title of the recommender, place of work, contact phone number, email address and recommender signature;
Photocopy of Passport (Include personal information page and Chinese visa pages if you have been in China);
*Supplement of scholarship application materials:
Effective (within 6 months) Health Certificate
Physical examination report must cover all of the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form, and provide the detailed blood test report. Incomplete forms or forms without the applicants' photograph, a sealed photograph of the applicant, the official stamp of the hospital, or signature of physician are considered as invalid;
Non-criminal Certificate(notarized photocopy in English or Chinese).

Application Process
1. Online Application (Application Commencement Time: March 1,2021 )
Log into SUIBE International Student Online Application Website: http:/sis/. Please register and submit the online application.
* Scholarship applicants should also register and submit the application form on scholarship websites.
2. Participate in the interview
After receiving the interview notice, please attend the interview on time. The specific interview time is subject to the email notification. Please ensure that the email address is correct.
3. Track your application status online
Pay attention to your email to check your application status.
Admission and university enrollment
The result of your application will be announced through your application account. Admitted students must register on the mentioned date on the admission letter and bring the original graduation certificate to be checked. Your enrollment will be canceled without providing the relevant certificates.
Admission Principles
1. We adhere to the principles of openness, fairness, equality, and compliance to standards during the process of admission.
2. Admission criteria
A merit-based admission system is adopted to select admittees from those applicants whose basic application materials and interview performance are qualified.
3. Admission rules
(1) Meeting the basic application requirements;
(2) Selecting admittees based on their Chinese or English proficiency (relevant score certificates are required);
(3) Arranging for international students to sit for entrance examination or undergo assessment according to the relevant regulations of China;
(4) Reviewing the materials of admitted students after they are enrolled. Those who fail to pass the review will be disqualified according to the prescribed procedure.
