The 2021 Shanghai May Day Labor Award and Workers’ Pioneer Commendation Meeting was held on October 14. Professor Zhang Lei of SUIBE, who is the president of the School of Trade Negotiation and WTO Lecture (China) Research Institute, and director of WTO Asia Pacific Training Center won the 2021 Shanghai May Day Labor Medal.
Professor Zhang Lei has been appointed as a Special Professor of the WTO Chair-China since 2010. He is one of the first 12 international academic leaders recommended by the Chinese government and selected globally by the WTO. He has made remarkable achievements in and made outstanding contributions to the field of WTO research in China.
